FAQ - New Lifestyles Adjustable Bed Program

1. What is special about the products?
   1. Both products are Wall-Huggers.
   2. Lifestyles Scape has lifting capacity of 600 pounds with ultra-premium mattresses.
   3. Lifestyles Scape has our patented programmable position.
   4. Both Lifestyles models have headboard brackets included for ease of delivery.
   5. Both Lifestyles have 3 height options to match the height of most case goods.
2. Is there marketing support available?
   1. Marketing materials included:
      1. Lifestyle Program Book for each store location
      2. "End of Bed" card holder with price card for each floor sample
      3. 20 Consumer Brochures per floor sample. Free replacements.
      4. Laminated Scape information card.
      5. Ad Slick CD available at no charge.
      6. Store Banner, Light Box, Foot Protector available at a charge.
3. Can I get my Lifestyles Adjustable Base with my bed frames?
   1. You can order these products from your CPG facility.
   2. These products qualify for the bed frame freight programs at those facilities.
   3. No minimum quantities required for purchase.
4. If I use a Lifestyles Adjustable Base, can the mattress warranty be voided?
   1. The fiber topper and deck board construction is identical to that currently used by most bedding manufacturers so the Lifestyles Adjustable Base is of equal quality to those foundations.
   2. A mattress manufacturer must support their warranty if the foundation is of equal quality to their foundation.
   3. A letter can be provided that will confirm the above.
5. Is the Lifestyles Adjustable Base FR1633 compliant?
   1. The Lifestyles have a foundation ID number of "LPS-1" that has been tested with most U.S. bedding manufacturers and has passed. Many of their mattresses will include the "LPS-1" ID number as an approved foundation on their FR mattress label.
   2. The "LPS-1" spec is the only specification used by L&P but has been labeled something else by Sealy and Tempurpedic due to their protocol requirements. L&P will provide the "LPS-1" data sheet and the data sheet of other Foundation ID's to confirm sameness.
   3. L&P has done our own burn testing on many other branded mattresses and will provide the burn test data for the retailer's records.
   4. If a retailer has a mattress brand we have not FR tested, they can send us an FR compliant TXL mattress and we will test it with the Lifestyle Adjustable and supply them with the passing results.
6. Is warranty service and warranty support available with Lifestyles?
   1. Our Customer Service Center and 800 number are part of the program. This is the same service that supports our many bedding partners' adjustable base program.
   2. We are also adding L&P employee technicians in major market areas as part of our new L&P Service Network.
7. Can I return my adjustable bed?
   1. No, this is a no return program.
   2. The "hands off" warranty service provided will handle any consumer problems.
8. Is there sales training and support for Lifestyles?
   1. Retail sales presentations can be scheduled to train your trainers or your retail sales associates.
   2. A DVD demonstrating sales techniques for adjustable beds is included in your Lifestyles Program Book.
   3. Your CPG representative will schedule or provide sales training.
9. Is there delivery training for Lifestyles?
   1. Delivery training is available for your warehouse and set-up personnel
   2. A DVD demonstrating proper set-up of the adjustable base is included in your Lifestyles Program book.
   3. Your CPG representative will schedule or provide delivery training.
10. Are Lifestyles Adjustable Bases safe?
    1. L&P is the only manufacturer that has the mechanism, motor, and the total electronic packaged UL listed.
    2. UL inspectors visit our facilities quarterly to confirm compliance.
    3. No other adjustable base can make that claim.
11. I'm a "big" retailer and I don't want the same program every one else has. Can I have a different program?
    1. There are some different options available.
    2. Talk to your Sales VP.
12. What if my customers want a "branded" adjustable base to go with the mattress brand?
    1. If the branded adjustable is supplied by L&P, the retailer will continue to receive the same great product, service, and warranty support. The Lifestyles Program would be a great secondary base for all of the other mattress brands they carry.
    2. However, if the branded adjustable is not supplied by L&P, they should consider using the Lifestyles Program as the primary base to continue to have safe product, great service, and warranty support. The Lifestyles Adjustable Base will be FR compliant with all mattresses as well.
